The releases of the No Police State Coalition mini CD by REJECTED YOUTH and New York‘s STOCKYARD STOICS‘ debut album on vinyl marked the launch of CONCRETE JUNGLE RECORDS in 2004. In addition to the MSM1279.RECORDS label that was started in 2003, the Jungle was initially planned as a mail order outlet and store in Nuremberg. In the meantime, the organisation of single shows and festivals has been added to our activities, for instance the indoor festivals BEAT.EM.DOWN and OUT OF CONTROL, to which part of the audience travelled more than 500 miles. Later on, the t-shirt label named SEARCH & DESTROY was launched. Apart from activities connected to music, CONCRETE JUNGLE, its owner and the signed bands advocate and represent political activism, social criticism and, to the most part, a vegan lifestyle. For reasons due to lack of time and money, the name MSM1279.RECORDS was cancelled at the beginning of 2009, and now everything is combined under the banner of the CONCRETE JUNGLE. This CD marks the start of „5 YEARS OF CONCRETE JUNGLE RECORDS“ and it contains a broad selection of all current, split-up and new bands that have collaborated or will collaborate with the label.
