VENEREA first appeared on the scene during the Swedish mid-nineties punk boom, along with bands such as REFUSED, MILLENCOLIN, and drummer Rodrigo‘s SATANIC SURFERS. They have toured extensively through Europe and beyond, alternating numerous headlining stints with package tours and festivals such as Vans Off The Wall, sharing stages with everyone from SNFU and BAD RELIGION to NOFX and PROPAGANDHI.
Their releases include genre-defining albums: Both Ends Burning, Shake Your Booty, Losing Weight Gaining Ground, Out In The Red, and career highlight One Louder. Following a successful 2005 Japanese tour promoting the latter, the band took a break to spend time on other projects, e.g. ENEMY ALLIANCE, but never stopped writing for VENEREA, always pushing their trademark sound forward.
