Santa Barbara based rock band VERSUS THE WORLD has announced their signing to Concrete Jungle Records with plans to release their second full-length album, "Drink. Sing. Live. Love." on July 27. VERSUS THE WORLD , now consisting of Mike Davenport (THE ATARIS), Chris Flippin (LAGWAGON), Donald Spence and Bryan Charleson (CROOKS AND LIARS), formed in the back of THE ATARIS owned record store, Down On Haley, in Santa Barbara and released their debut self-titled album in 2005 on Kung Fu Records. They spent the next few years touring in support of the release with bands like SUICIDE MACHINES, BOUNCING SOULS, THE LAWRENCE ARMS, SOCIAL DISTORTION, NO USE FOR A NAME, THE VANDALS, I AM THE AVALANCHE and the Vans Warped Tour building up a worldwide fan base along the way.
VERSUS THE WORLD reconvened in 2010 and began writing and recording their long awaited follow-up which they wrapped in early 2012. Produced by Thom Flowers (THE ATARIS) at Playback Recording and Orange Whip studios in Santa Barbara, mixed by Ian MacGregor (ALL AMERICAN REJECTS, KATY PERRY) and mastered by Jason Livermore at The Blasting Room in Fort Collins, "Drink. Sing. Live. Love." features thirteen fist pumping tracks that fuse elements of post-hardcore, pop-punk and rock on tracks like “She Sang The Blues”, “A Fond Farewell” and “Lullabye”.

In addition to lending his bass skills, Paul co-produced, co-wrote, engineered, mixed and mastered the album with the idea of taking the bands sound into a direction somewhere between "If Looks Could Kill" and "Into the Valley of Death". Mesa, AZ based punk rock band AUTHORITY ZERO has joined Concrete Jungle Records! At the start we will release AUTHORITY ZERO's last studio album "Stories Of Survival" in Europe for the first time! "The album title was a no brainer, as it encompasses everything this record stands for. This record has so much to do with survival, not only as a band, but as an individual living in a crazy world" says Jason DeVore, head of AUTHORITY ZERO. April 13th REJECTED YOUTH are gonna play their annual hometown show in Nürnberg at the Künstlerhaus (formerly K4, formerly KOMM). Besides the band's 14th anniversary there's one more reason for this show. This time all profits go to an association called "Alternative Kultur Nürnberg e.V. - AKN" (alternative culture in Nuremberg) which is trying to build up a self-governing youth and cultural center. A free zone "without rascism, fascism, exploitation and patriarchal social structure". A suitable building has been found last year but unfortunately it's still closed due to repair work. To finance these construction works the association needs around 20.000 Euros - otherwise the center cannot be opened to the public. Come around and support this project!
