| 2011 UPDATE | 31.01.2011 Just wanted to give you all a short sign of life. We hope all of you had some nice holidays and started the new year in good health. As you might recognize we do not play many shows at the moment. The reason for this is that we are currently working on new songs for a successor of the "public disorder" album. It's still a long process till we can get into the studio but we hope that we´ll make it this spring and be able to release the record in fall 2011. So have a little patience and watch out for news and updates. Of course we´ll get back on tour as soon as we have finished the whole work on the new album. "Nach vier Alben und neun Jahren nach der Bandgründung haben sich Rejected Youth im Punkrock-Kosmos mittlerweile definitiv etabliert. Nicht zu unrecht. Umso erfreulicher ist es, dass mit Public Disorder nach zwei Jahren, in denen es um die Berufsjugendlichen etwas ruhiger geworden war, nun der fünfte Langspieler (sofern man bei 26:24 von „lang“ reden kann) in den Startlöchern steht. Mit neuen Line-Up und Unterstützung von diversen Gastmusikern (Guerilla, Shark Soup, Oxymoron/Bad Co.) wurden 12 Tracks zusammengezimmert, die ein ordentliches Unterhaltungspotential haben. STATEMENT | 12.12.2005 First of all - I´m sorry that it took so long to write this but I hadn´t the leisure in the last month to deal with that thing „Rejected Youth“. However, now I´ll try to explain the reasons why I called out that this band´s done last year. The problem was that the atmosphere was getting pretty worse – year after year. Everyone was making snide remarks at the other. The respect for each other disappeared and the expectations and plans for our future (shows, music, ...) have been totally devided. In Spring 2005 I finally felt completly fucked up – too much stress while starting the recordstore concrete jungle, expanding my label msm1279.records, producing and promoting the rejected youth tour and album, investing a lot of money, playing tons of shows, working on a new album with my other band and so on... During the angry kids tour I wasn´t able to show understanding for anyone anymore. Couldn´t enjoy the shows anymore. Couldn´t enjoy the music anymore. I knew that we couldn´t go on like this. There have been so many fights in this band and at the end it was terrible. Then Kalle told us that he will leave the band and so I thought that it maybe would be the best to split up. In the end it was a mixture of too much pressure, misunderstandings, ignorance and so on... I´m sorry for that. But I guess the most of you want to know if we continue or not... Well, me and Keks started Rejected Youth and we still work together so... why not?! But I´m not sure if we´ll find enough and new friends to continue this project. I don´t want to go through such a shit again. It´s not worth it. But I feel that the joy for my music is coming back - so if we´ll find those friends we might see us somewhere out there on tour again. We´ll let you know. The new album, named "Angry Kids” is a kind of mixture of the previous releases and thus perhaps the best one so far. But the band has evolved, so there are instrumental pieces utilizing samples or use of a piano. The lyrics are very political but to some degree personal experiences by the band members come thru and are worked up by the music. A really nice piece of work.
